The spring shown herein is a straight coil of wire when-not in working engagement with the parts, and the band I) is rectangular, and loosely fitted over thefl-ut-face'd. enlarged portion 3 of the thrust or operating member m. As shown herein thesides of the body 3 of the push member .or bar in are recessed lengthwise at 8 to confine and back the spring at its ends, thereb preventing the ends of the spring, from springing or working .out of place and the open ends of the springihave fnlernni relations with the lugs 4.

The parts I), m and .x' may be embodled in a. pendant switch bud v,- or in njviill switch body, and they-may also-be utiI-izedin other snap action is desired.
What I claim is:
1. An electric switch comprising u bud and electricterminals supported thereby. n11 actuating member slidahle within fixed limits in said body and having in] enlarged middle portion, a band sleevedover the said middle portion and :1 spring compressibIe longitudimilly of its nxis'extending tin-on h the said band into engagingrelations with on seid body for said band.
