bathtub to thestack below the point where the drain from the closet discharges into the stack, so that the drain from the closet will flush the discharge openings from lavatory, and bath-tub and carry ofi foreign matter, such as -.lint, dirt, string and matches. In many instances, horizontal runs of pipe are necessary between the stack and the closet, lavatory and the bath-tub, respectively and it is desirable to confine these pipes between the joists in-the floors,
so that they will not protrude and render them.
The present invention designs to provide an improved T-fitting in which the inlet openings of the stack-pipe are horizontally alined to permit the horizontal runs of pipe to be disposed side by side between the floor and in which provision is made for dis-i charging the drain from the bath-tub tor lavatory into the stack-pipe below thepoi'nt where the drain from the closet is dis charged into the stack.
The invention further consists in the several novel features hereinafter set forth and more; particularly defined by claim at the conclusion "hereof.

The fitting 9 is cast in one piece and comprises a main pipe 10, which is connected to the stackin'the drainage system at its .ends 11 and 12 and forms a part thereof,
and inlet pipes 13, 14 and'15. Inlet pipe Specification of Letters Patent. i I

downwardly, discharging into ee-1i and 15 are situated at -The inlet terminals 1 20 and 210i? the inlet pipes are horizontally alined, so that the drain-pipes leading tothe stack may be readily disposed between the joists and between the floorand ceilin and the discharge openings of these inlet pipesare relatively disposed so that the solid matter,- discharging at 16, from the inlet pipe' 13 will pass down and carryaway any accumulation of foreign matter which is in the discharge openings 18 and 19 of the inlet pipes 14 and 15. By disposing the discharge openings 18 and 19' below the discharge opening16 the passagesin pipes 14 and 15 are gradually curved to dir ectth drainage I and longitudinally o the stack instead of discharging it directly against the wall thereof.
The invention thus proved one-piece T-fittingwhich includes connections for pipes disposed side by side and in which the-passages are directed. to
effectively prevent clogging.
