VAGINAL DYNAMO.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented nag. 22, 191e.
Application iled August 31, 1914. Serial No. 860,108.
To all whom t may concern.'
Be it known that JAMES B. WAGONER, deceased, formerly a citizen of the United States residing in the city and county of Los Angeles and State of California, has invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Vaginal Dynamos, of which the following is a specic'ation.
This invention relates to vaginal dynamos whereln electrodes of dissimilar metals gencrate a mild electrical current; and the objects of the invention are, first, to provide an improved vaginal dynamo of such shapeand slze as will adapt it for use in the vagina; second, to provide an improved means for producing a beneficial effect in the vagina with no discomfort to the wearer; third, to provide a device of the character described which may be cheaplyand easily constructed; fourth, to provide a device of the character described having one end' thereof concaved so as to fit snugly against the cervix.
For a full and complete comprehension of the invention reference should be had t0 the drawings forming a part of the present specification wherein like characters of reference are used to designate similar parts throughout the said specification and drawings and in which- Y Figure l is a side elevation ofthe dynamo disclosing the shape thereof and the elecconnected to the electrodes.
trode 2. A suitable metallic connection 7'- properly connects the electrode 3 with the central connection 4. The connection 4 is provided with a threaded end 8 upon which is screwed a suitable head 9, by means of which the dynamo may be easily inserted into and withdrawn from the vagina. While the head 9 is shown comparatively small it may be ofrsuch size and character as will prevent the dynamo from being inserted too far into the vagina. The electrode 2 is concaved on the outer end thereof so as to provide. a proper area of contact with the cervix.
The dynamo is inserted into the vagina with the electrode 2 innermost so as 'to properly engage and provide a proper area of contact with the cervix. A mild electric current will be generated which will impart a beneficial result to the surrounding parts of the anatomy.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is- 1. A vaginal dynamo comprising a central arcuate core of dielectric material; and a suitable electrode secured to each end of the core, one of the said electrodes having a concaved end.
2. A vaginal dynamo comprising a cylindrical arcuate core of dielectric material; electrodes of dissimilar metal secured to the ends of the core, one of the said electrodes having a concaved outer end; and a suitable connection between the electrodes.
3. A vaginal dynamo comprising a cylindrical arcuate core of dielectric material; electrodes of dissimilar metal secured to the ends of the core, one of the said electrodes having a concaved outer end; a suitable conlindrcal arcuetecore of dielectric material; my signatnre in the nresence of two subelectrodes of dissimilar metals secured to the scrlbing Wltnesses. ends of the core, one of 'sa'hd electrodes hav- ALMA M.
