JOHN MOKEE, OF NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 119,468, dated October 3, 1871.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN MOKEE, of New Orleans, in the State of Louisiana, have invented a certain Compound for the Cure of Corns, of which the following is a specification:
My invention consists in mixing and combining into a compound for the cure of corns the several ingredients hereinafter mentioned.
I take one ounce of quinia, one and one-quarter ounce of glycerine, two and one-half grains of inorphia, ten drops of perfumed oil, and one-half grain of carmine and thoroughly mix the component parts in a mortar or other suitable device until the composition is formed into a salve.
The exact quantities or proportions of the above ingredients are preferable in practice; but I do HENRY HOWARD. (29)
