In Fig. l0 is shown a continuous strip bent and secured entirely around the sole, and a similar strip, though prete ably stronger, bent and secured around the heel.
It will be readily understood that a Worn part of a continuous strip may be out oil', removed and replaced by a new section, or the strip may be applied in sections and any Lieaeeo worn section subsequently removed and replaced by a new section.
Having thus described my invention What l claim is :H
1. new article of manufacture, comprising a non-slipping attachment for the ot boots and shoes, having a channelshaped member of non-slipping material, a second member fitting Within said channel and formed with a longitudinal groove and a length of Wire fitting Within said longitudinal groove.
In non-slipping attachments for the Hexible solesv of boots and shoes, a rectangular frictional strip or rubber able to easily contorni during use Without buckling or set to deformation in and out of its oWn plane, of indeterminate length, capable of being cut into sections, each section comprising a channel, and a complementary locking portion pliable out ot its own plane fitting within said channel, constructed and arranged to receive means for securing said sectional strip to whatever character of bending surface desired, and a securing means for said sectional strip.
