To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, THOMAS E. lvINs, a

of Tacoma, inthe county of Pierce and State of" Washington, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Vehicle-Lamps, of which the following is a full, true, and exact specification.

My invention relates tovehicle lamps and has for its'principal object, to generally improve vehicle lamps by providing novel means for converting the ordinary oil lamp into an electrically lighted lamp, as well as an oil lighted lamp, the principal feature of which is means for moving either the oil or electric light into a central position with respect to the lenses of the lamp.

A further object is to provide a device of the above described general character which is connectible to the electric lighting system of an ordinary vehicle.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, numeral 1 designates a fragment of a railway observation car to the rear end of which is secured, in the usual manner, a marker 2 which is provided with an e ectrical connection 3 to connect with the lighting system of th'e car by means of a plug t. While I have shown a particular form of embodiment of my invention, 1 am aware that many minor changes therein, will readily suggest themselves to others skilled in from the spirit and scope of the invention, and 1 therefore desire to avoid being limited to the exact form shown and described, except in the appended claim.
