Fig. 2 is a similar view showingthe bag filled and the mouth closing means in operative position.
Referring more particularly to the drawing, 1 represents an ordinary paper sack having, as is usual, its side marginal edges overlapped and glued together, as show. at 2. bag or attached thereto in any suitable manner. This flap holds string, cord or other flexible element which can be tied around the upper end ot the bag to draw the same together, as shown in Fig. 2.
It will be understood that any suitable type of fastening means may for securing the flap over the flexible element but we prefer to glue the flap in position because this method of fastening the same also holds the flexible element against displacement.
Vhat is claimed is A device of the class described consisting of a paper sac having side marginal edges secured together in overlapping relation to form a reinforcing portion, said reinforced portion being cut away from the edge of the in position a r be employed sack to provide a tongue, said tongue being secured to said reinforced portion to further reinforce it and providing a' loop at the left by said transverse edge of the opening tongue in the reinforced portion, and a securing cord held in said loop and leavin opposite free portions adapted to be tight around the neck of the sack.
In testimony whereof we alfix'our signatures in presence of two itnesses.
