came contmuousiy' While I have described the construction of a ioor, it is obvious that the same is-applicable to a ceiling or a roof and in the construction of partitions. In all of these structures there will be the same bracing effect of one tile upon the adjacent tile, and the carrying of transverse stresses diagonally from the center of the span to the .point of anchorage. i, It will be noted that in specific form my improved tile comprises a flat side, an 0pposite arched sidev and transversely-extending sides .y with diagonal braces therebetween.

What I claim as my invention is l. In a building 'structure7 a series of tiles of the same forni alternatively reversed and engaged with each other, each ofl said tiles being provided with a pair ot' vdiagonal braces extending between the opposite side l walls thereof, andthe abiitting faces of adjacent tiles having S-shaped interlocking portions between said braces,
