Both of the side-plates are identical in construction and size s'o that when'placed edge to edge the apertures will register and in position for forming a wall of the desired thickness, and after the cement has set the cross-bars are removed for reuse. The cross-bars 10 which do not form a permanent part of the wall have flanges 1-1 and slots or apertures 12 for the reception of wedges 13 which abut .or contact with the side-plates above and below their vertical flanges, as shown by Fig. 3, and the shoulders on the plate-ties or cross-bars 10 will bear against the inner faces of adjacent plates. Instead of forming the ends of the plate-ties as shown by Fig. 1, with horizontal flanges and a central web, the same may be made from a crossbar 10 see Fig. 7 and with such form of bar the slots 12 will be extended and a spacing wedge 13 with steps will be used, such construction or arrangement being used with outer wedges 13, which have one straight face and the other inclined, by the use of the step-wedges 13 and the long slots means are provided for varying the distance between the plates and the thickness of the flanges cut away to form recesses 141 to hold in place division plates 15, used in the construction of hollow walls. In constructing hollow walls it is desirable to use wall-ties and with the structure shown by Fig. 1 I use wall-tics as shown by Fig. 6,'such ties 16, being made of a flat strip of metal the ends being slitted and bent in opposite directions, and in practice these ends will be positioned so as to lie about midway between the sidesott the hollow wall. In using the ties 16, they may rest upon the plateties 10 and between the vertical plates 15.
In connection with the side plates 1, I use corner-sections 17 which are made up to carry or have attached thereto lever supports 17 which are cut away or shaped to receive the fulcrum of a lever 18, the short end of the lever being adapted to engage with a slotted piece 18 secured to one of the sidepieces 1, the slot havingenlarged ends to admit of a headed pin on the short arm of'the lever being passed through to ei'igage the narrower portion of the slot. In a mold as shown by Figs. 1 and 9, the end plates 27 will have slots 27 for the passage of longitudinal tie bars 27.
The construction of the several parts may be modified or changed as it is desirable in the make up of both single molds that are used in building walls from rather stifl cement which is tamped or rammed, and in connected forms for building walls from cement of a consistency that it may be poured to use as .t'ar as possible stock material cut and shaped in proper "form.
The leading idea of my invention is to provide means for constructing 'alls by the use of one set of molds which can be used to make footings or foundations, hollow exterior walls and solid thin partition walls by merely varying the length of the moldtics or con ectingi bars between the vertical plates of the molds.
With the means illustrated it will be unnecessary to erect exterior scatlolding as the molds may be manipulated entirely from platforms sustained by the floor beams which are put'in place as the construction of the walls progress.
I claim:
1. A sectional mold for concrete wall construction comprising similar metallic wallplates each having marginal projecting flanges provided with apertures positioned beyond the outer face of the wall-plates, recesses in the wall plates between the ends ot" the flanges, means adapted to be passed through the apertures formed by adjacent recesses for maintaining opposite plates in parallel relation and means for connecting adjacent and abutting wall-plates one to the other. 4

A sectional mold for concrete 'allcon- Struction comprising metallic wall plates havingcorner and intermediate edge reccsses which are spaced at uniform disstances one From the other projecting marginal flanges having apertures therethrough, means engaging the flanges for connecting the wall-plates in longitudinal and vertical alincmcnt, tic-bars which pass through the recesses and associate opposite wall-plates and maintain the same in parallelism.

In combination with a sectional mold, optcr wall-plates which are adapted to be connected one to the other, inner mill-plates, means for ass iating' the upper ends of the inner wall-plates in parallel relation with the outer wall-plates, a hollow wall-tic hav ing openings to receive be lower ends of the innerplatcs and a mold-tie which passes through the hollow wall-tie and is removably associated with the outer mold-plates.
9. A sectional mold comprising plates shaped to provide the same with umrginal flanges that extend outward and have a length less than the portion of the plate from which they project to provide between adjacent plates when associated recesses for tie-bars. means engaging the flanges of adjacent plates for connecting like plates to- ,rcthcr ties for holding in parallel relation inner and outer mold plates said ties having formed therein intermediate recesses and inner plates which are held in proper relation to the mold plates by engagement with the ties adjacent to the recesses. t 10. "As a new article of manufacture a holloivwall tie having formed therein recesses to-receive mold-plates and end extensions formed integral with the tie to extend laterally therefrom and removable means associatedwith the tie to engage with mold plates.
11. In combination with a sectional mold comprising outer wall plates which are adapted to be connected, means for connecting the outer wall plates, a hollow wall-tie associated with the outer wall plates of the sectional mold and provided with intermediate cut away portions and means for securing the ties in the walls, inner wall plates to which are adapted to engage with the cut away portions of the ties to be spaced and supported thereby.
12. Mold plates for use in constructing hollow walls of concrete comprising a plurality of metal plates having flanges which project therefrom a portion of the plates adjacent to the ends of the flanges being-removed to provide spaces between connected plates to receive tie-bars, and openings through the tlanges to admit of the passage therethrongh of means for connecting the plates.
13. In combination with mold plates for forming hollow walls, a wall'tie' provided at its ends with inward projecting portions for engagement with a mold plate tie, said walltie having in opposite sides recesses to receive the ends of inner mold plates, a flanged mold plate tie which is recessed so t0 ';hat the recesses therein will register with the recesses in the wall-tie when the ties are associated, shoulders for engagement with the inner faces of the outer mold plates and means that engage with the mold tie and the outer face of the outer mold plates. 14. In combination with inner and outer mold platesa hollow wall-tie provided with apertures through an intermediate portionof said tie and anchoring means at the ends 59 ot" the wall-tie, a mold tie of greater length than the wall-tie and provided. with recesses which are spaced to register with the aperthrough the wall-tie when the ties are iciated; the wall-tie spacing the inner old plates and the mold tie engaging the enter mold plates.
