Be it known that I, PETER W. which the tumblers or .dishes may be placed to drain. IThese ribs' are secured to themain such, for instance, as that shown in the drawing, in which the strips are cemented to separating pieces B B, and a number of ribs, A, and pieces B, sufcientto form a drainer of proper size, are surrounded and secured together by strips or moldings C. The ribs may, however, be secured by cementing their lower edges into grooves in a base-piece, substantially of the shape shown.v So, also, the ribs and base may be made of one piece of vulcanized India At or near the center of the drainer rubber. is formed an opening, D, which may be used simply as a drain, or may be of suficient size to containa rinsing-vat or give access to the same. The channels between the ribs A A all incline toward the opening D, so as to carry the water in that direction. In case there is no opening made in the drainer, the channels lmay be arranged to carry the watertoone end or to any desired point. c

Fig. 4 represents a circular drainer in' which the ribs are radial-short ones alternating with longer ones, so that there is acontinuous channel from all directions to the opening D in the center.

What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

A drainer provided with a number of vertical ribs of elastic material, with inclined channels between the same to lead away the water, substantially in the manner and for the purposes speciiied.
