'ith the above and other objects in View which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention resides in the combination and arrangement of parts and 1n th'e details of construction hereinafter described ,and claimed, it being understood that changes in the precise embodiment of the invention herein disclosed can be made within the scope of what is claimed without departing from the spirit of the invention.

In carrying out the present invention there is provided a casingl of any desired form. the same in the present instance beingshown as of bo1-like construction and provided with a suitable carrying strap or bail 29, or with other means of support and transport. The casing 1 may be equipped with a lid 2 held'in place by means of hinges 3.
Located within thecasmg 1 and preferably secured to one side wall thereof is a motor 4. The motor 4 may be operated in any desired manner. The shaf tl5 of the motor 1 merges into or is opcratively connected with the shaft 6 of a combined blower and suction de ice 7 which may be upheld upon one of the side walls of the casing 1.

The numeral 8 indicates any suitable mechanism whereby the direction of rotation of the motor shaft 5, and consequently the direction of rotation may be reversed.
Projecting from the blower and suction device 7 and prolonged through one end a primary pipe 9 equipped with a valve 10. Attached to the exposed end of the primary pipe 9 is a flexible tube 15 of any desired length, the same being equipped with a flaring section head from the pipe 9 and ora pipe 11 provided with a valve 12, there being a foraminous receptacle ll connected with the end of the branch pipe 11.
Projecting from the combined blower and suction device 7 is a secondary pipe 17 which passes outside of'the casing'l. Assembled with the exposed end of the secondary pipe 17 is a flexible tube 18 of anydesiredlength, the same being connected as shown at 33 with a tube or neck 32 which, in its turn, merges into the body portion of a suction head 19. The neck or tube 32 is stiff,
and can be held and pointed in any direction with facility, the tube 18 being yieldable so that the head 19 may be inverted if desired. Viewed in bottom plan, the head 19 is of flat-iron shape and is tapered at one end as shownat 31. A removable frame 31 is connected by means of removable uprights 35 with the part 30 of the suction head. municating with the pipe 17 ,the mouth 21 being deflected in the direction of the draft of air through the pipe 17, so as to tend to create a vacuum or a partial vacuum inthe container 20, thereby drawing outwardly,

The outlet or mouth 21 is controlled by a valve 22 of any desired sort, in the present instance shown as provided with a tapered top. The valve 22 may beoperated through'the medium of a rod 23 mounted to reciprocate in a spider 2 t located within the container 20. Then. when the blower is started. the insects will be sucked through the machine in the manner hereinbefore specified.
