Be it known that I, CHARLES L. LOEELER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Denver, in the county of Denver and State of Colorado, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Attachments for Syringes; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters andl figures of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specication.

This invention relates to improvements in what may be termed rectal injectors, particularly employed in administering inter- Jthe scope of the claims, and in which drawnal baths through the rectum.

The invention has for its object, primarily, to greatly simplify and render light the construction of the parts and yet provide for the retention of the requisite durability and stability inuse or application.

A further object is to provide for forming an effective and ready connection between the solution or liquid supply tubing and the rectal administering tube or nozzle elbow.

A still further object is to afford stability and strength at the point of attachment between the rectal nozzle or tube and the base-member. l

A still further object is to carry out the aforesaid ends in a simple, expeditious and effective manner.

The invention consists of certain instrumentalities and features substantially as hereinafter fully disclosed and defined by the appended claims.

In the accompanying drawing is illustrated the preferred embodiment of my invention, wherein it will be understood that various changes and modifications may be made as to the detailed construction andv arrangement of the parts without departing from the spirit thereof and covered by shown fragmentarily and other parts broken away.

In. carrying out my invention, I employ a tubular base 1 preferably circular or of helical-like-or convoluted outline having a lateral or right-lined extension 2, itself having a terminal 3 formed with an external enlargement or shoulder 4, the latter facingv inwardly or toward the basic member 1 and having an oppositely tapering surface, the samevanishing into the outer surface of that end of the terminal 3. This construetion provides for the expanding-or distending of the elastic or rubber solutiOn-supplying pipe or tubing 5,. ,over the shoulder equipped terminal 3, 4, of the tubular basic -vmember 1 as seen particularly in Fig. 2,

delivering or distributing the as it leaves or is discharged from the rectal tube or nozzle as will be readily understood. The nozzle or tube 7 is adapted to be fitted snugly upon the upstandingy portion of an elbow terminal 10 of the basic member 1, said upstanding portion extending centrally from the inwardly curved or extending terminal of the latter, the rectal nozzle with said upstanding or attaching member therefor being thus adapted to be adjusted to and to enter the rectum, and the basic member to conform to the arms or buttocks for holding the nozzle centrally within the rectum. The rectal nozzle or tube 7 has its lower end portion further thickened or flared downwardly in preferably frusto-cone-like outline as at l1 for widening said end or base for obvious reasons, said base-end resting preferably upon a conforming plate orV member 12, itself resting directly upon the inwardly extending or curved terminal of the basic member 1.

I claim:

l. A device of the type described, including a skeleton-like flat formed tubular base having an upstanding central extension or terminal, and a rectal nozzle applied to said upstanding terminal of the base, said tubular base being of flat spiral -form, said npstanding extension terminating said tubular base centrally thereof.

2. A device of the type described, including a flat spiral tubular member adapted to form a base, the same having a central upstanding elbow or terminal, and a rectal rubber nozzle fitted upon said upstanding terminal, said rubbernozzle having a flared base.

3. Ajdevice of the type described, including a iiat spiral tubular basic member, carrying an upstanding central tubular terminal and a terminal having an external shoulder or enlargement facing inwardly or to ward the center of said basic member, said shoulder tapering oppositely upon its outer surface for insertion into an eXpansible solution-feeding or supplying tubingj and a rectal nozzle applied to said upstanding central tubular terminal of the basic member, said nozzle having a flared base.

4. A device of the type described, including a tubular basic member of llatspiral form and having a central upstanding tubular terminal, means for supplying the same with a liquidsolution, and a rectal rubber nozzle with perforated thickened walls at its upper end, the lower end portion of said rectal nozzle being further thickened and flared downwardly 'to its base.
