This invention relates to game boards, and one of the principal objects of the invention is to provide a game which will be interesting to oldand young and which will simulate the movements of armies and peace commissions, and will thus be'instructive as well as entertaining.
Another object of the invention is to provide a game board representing the fields of battle betweencountries and in which certain movements of armies will be made depending upon the spinning of'a game piece falling into various colored fields or territories having numbers thereon to {indicate the movements of flags upon the game board toward and from the capitals of the countries, other movements being made on the board to represent the various positions of armies and legislative bodies and peace commissions.
The foregoing and other objects may be attained by means ofthe construction illustrated in the accompanying] drawings, in
which p Y Figure 1 is a top plan view of the frame board and the box for containing the same connected together} and ready to play the game after the flags have been placed in position, Fig. 2 is a sectional view through the I board and boxor dial so-called and showing the flags of three ofthe countries in position on the board, and Fig. 3 is a sectional view through the board when inclosed within the box. p
Referring to thedrawings, the numeral 1 designates the game board, as an .entirety, and 2 designates the box for containing the game board and dial to be used' in connection with the game board. The game board is provided with a'flexible fabric loop 2 which extends through a slot ,3 in the box 2 and a metal pin 4: tohold the game board and box connected in position to play "the game. The game extends through the loop word Session therein and upon opposite sides of the panel are white curved border lines 6 and blue border lines 7, each provided with eyelet holes 8 and said eyelet holes are numbered 1, 3 and 5 in the upper series and 2, 4: and 6 in the lower series. In the center of the panel is an eyelet hole 9. The arms extending from the forts 10 at the ends of the session panel, are made in three colors, the white arms a, the center arms in blue 6 and the red arms 0. These arms are each provided with a series of perforations and at the sides of the arms spaced apart for each alternate perforation are the words, Mobilization; War, Charge; Boinbard, and Advance. At the outer end of each of the arms are circular devices 11 having a central perforation 12 and the legend capital and a number for said capital, Germany being numbered 1, Austria numbered 2, Russia 3, Turkey 4, and France 5.
Within the box 2 are various colored panels or squares 14: and said panels are each provided with numbers, said panels dial is a rectangular panel 15, one-half of which is colored red and the other half White 3 and in the center of this panel is a target or bulls eye 16. The panel 15 is also provided with the Flag, the letter M and the numeral 6, one upon each side of the bulls eye. At points opposite the central panel are bulls eyes each entitled orts, said bulls eyes being indicated by the numerals 17 and 18 and the fort 17 having the numerals 1, 3 and 5 indicated below the same and the fort 18 being provided with the numerals 2, 4 and 6. The column b is designated the retreat column. a I
The game plece comprises a spinner or top consisting of a r1ng30hav1ng a stem 31 and a spinning point 32.
The manner of playing the game may be briefly described as follows: The game piece is spun first in the bulls eye 16, and when 7 the game piece falls upon the .dial, the num ber of the panel and the color of the same indicate the movements of the flags 21, 24' and 25, depending upon whether the game, piece falls upon white, red, blue or green.
