My invention relates to engines wherein a single valve is operatively "connected with.
the crank shaft to control both the'inlet and exhaust valves, and, it is the object of my invention to provide simple and eiiicient means to positively, operate such a valve.
As' hereinafter described, my invention includes a hollow conical valve so constructed and arranged as to be maintained tight by the pressure in the engine cylinder, without the 'employment Aof packing' or adjusting means, and, said valve is .operatively con-l nected with the crank shaft by- Geneva stop gearing arranged to positively intermittently rotate said valve in proper time with respect to the movements of the piston.
