Application filed July 20, 1914. Serial No. 851,940.
' To all whom it may concern and useful Improved Foot-Sock, of which the following is a specification.
This invention has reference to socks for wearing on the feet; and hasfor its object to provide a sock which, while it keeps the feet warm and in good condition, will provide for carrying o of perspiration or moisture.
.According to this invention, the sock consists of a sole piece proper, and a cap in the front, extending down a substantial proportion of the sole; and it is made of a more or less solid material (not textile fabrics and the like), such as wash leather, or other soft leather or artificial leather, or like -material, and is provided with apertures of substantial size, at suitable and substantial distances apart; so that while the greater part of the sock is of solid material, which will keep the feet warm, it enables air, by way of the holes, to pass to and from the interior of the sock, and so carry off the moisture and perspiration. This sock device is ref: erably used inside the ordinary soc or stockmg, and is first put over the foot, being drawn on say by a heel portion or tag, at the back, and then the sock or stockmgis'drawn over it. Thus the sock consists mainly of solid material such as referred to, with interspaced holes of substantial diameter, at substantial distances apart.
