APPLICATION FILED MAR- ]2, 1914- I U Patented May 18, 1915.
ATTORNEY EMANUEL MUMMA, OF ROCK HILL, PENNSYLVANIA.
STOVE ATTACHMENT FOR AUTOMOBILES.
Specification of Letters Patent.
Patented May 18, 1915.;
Application filed March 12, 1914. Serial N 0. 824,309.
To all whom it may concern: v
Be it known that I, EMANUEL S. MUMMA, a citizen of the United States, residing at Rock Hill, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Stove Attachments for Automobiles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawing.
This invention relates to a vapor stove that may be attached to a permanent equipment of an automobile for the use of tourists or campers, and on which a certain amount of cooking may be done.
The object of the invention is to provide a stove using gasolene as fuel, which may be readily attached to the running board of an automobile, in no way obstruct or interfere with the usual use of the running board.
With these and other objects in view, my invention consists in certain construction and combination of parts as will hereinafter be fully described and claimed in the an: nexed,specification, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings which form a part of this application, and in which like figurhs of reference refer to corresponding parts in all. of the views; but it is fully understood that while I have here described my invention as shown, that I do not confine myself to the exact desigmas slight changes may be made in the construction and arrangement of the several parts without departing from the spirit of the invention.-
In the drawings: Fi side View of an automo ile, showing the application of the device. Fig. 2, is a detail top plan viewof the stove.
're 1, is the partial and that when not in use will Referring to the drawing the device comstove; and when in a closed positionafi'ord- I mg a step of the same level as the runningboard.
It is fully understood that the device may be secured to the running-boardabove or below the same, or may be built into it as a permanent fixture, or the device may be attached to some other convenient part of the automobile.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent is A combined automobile running board and stove, comprising a running board having a cut awa portion hinged on one edge, and forming the cover of the stove, a stove member secured to'the ends of the running board adjacent the out out portion and under the'same, and means for supplying fuel to said stove. a
In testimony whereof I afiix my signature in presenceof two witnesses.
