Be it known that we, ERIK ARTUR FAGER- LUND and Anvil) AnoLF Hnmnnnrllonansou, both subjects of the King of Sweden, and citizens of Sweden, residing, respectively, at Malmtorgsgatan 3 and Svedenborgsgatan 2, Stockholm, in the Kingdom of Sweden, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Cleaning-Machines for Dishes and Similar Articles, of which the following is a specification.

The present invention relates to such cleaning machines, in which the articles to be cleaned, are arranged on a conveyer, moving between brushes.

A machine according to the present invention is essentially characterized by two adjacent brushes, without entering into each other, being placed in such relation to the conveyer, that the bristles On both brushes or only on one of them project through the conveyer.

Another feature of the present machine consists therein, that above one brush or a number of brushes, placed below the conveyer, there is placed a pressure member, which as the articles to be cleaned are passing below it acts to hold said articles pressed against the conveyer.

Further the present machine is characterized by the fact, that the articles to be cleaned after having passed the cleaning de-- vice in one direction, pass through a washing device in the opposite direction.

A machine according to the present invention is shown in the accompanying drawing.

Figure l is a side elevation of the machine. Fig. 2 is a cross section; Fig. 3 a plan view thereof, and Fig. 4 is a plan view of the presser member.

According to the ernbcent shown on the drawing, the machine is provided with three brushes 6, f, g, which are rotary mounted. brush 6 is mounted above the conveyer a, while the two other brushes f, g are located on each side of the brush e below the upper part of the said conveyer in such manner, that the bristles thereof progect through the upper part of said conveyer without entering into the bristles of the upper brush c.

The articles to be cleaned are placed on the conveyer a on the right hand end thereof (Fig. 1), and are brought, by the said conveyer to pass between the brushes, so that they are thoroughly worked by these latter, and said articles are thendelivered, at the left hand end of the conveyer, upon the incline 0?.
