'llhe invention consists of the novel teatures, details ot construction and combina' portion of a parcel ot ground inclosed by a tence embodying y.the invention. When setting up the tence the Vpanels are arranged along the prescribed course in such a manner as to cause the projecting ends Ot the rails to interlock, the pegs d being' driven into the ground between the lower longitudinal rails, thereby preventing both lateral,

and longitudinal movement of the panels. Brace wires 7 lare passed about the upper rails and extend upon oppositesides of the panels with their lower endssecured to the ground by means ot pins 8 driven therein. lt is to be understood that the brace wires may be located any distance apart in order to provide a substantial structure. rllhe ends ot the brace wires are formed into eyes and the pins 8 atter being passed through such eyes are driven into the ground, the pins being headed to engage the eyes and insure a tightening ot the brace wires.

lFrorn the foregoing, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, it willhe understood that the invention provides a tence or inclosingv means which may be utilized tor corralling stock, or tor other purposes, to prevent trespass upon a tract ot land, said tence, being ot a nature to be 8 and pegs d may oe quiclrlyl withdrawn so that the panels may be moved trom one place to another or stored in compact form for future use.

From the foregoing description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, the advantages of the construction and of the method of operation will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art'to which the invention appertains, and while l .have described the principle of operation of the invention, together with the device which ll now consider to be the best embodiment thereof, I desire to have it understood that the device shown'is merely illustrative, and that such changes may be made when I'desired as are within the scope of the claim appended hereto.

Having thus described the invention what is claimed as new, is

A portable fence comprisinglike panels of uniform size, each of such panels comprising upper and'lower pairs of longitudinal rails, uprights secured between the pairs of longitudinal rails, the latter having their end portions projecting beyond the end upmerece rights to admit ofthe projecting ends of the longitudinal rails interlocking by interitting, the uprights projecting above the upper longitudinal rails, longitudinal wires secured to the uprights of each panel between and above the longitudinal rails, pegs adapted to be driven into the ground between the lower pairs of longitudinal rails against the end uprights of adjacent panels, brace wires engaging the upper rails and adapted to be secured at their lower ends to the ground upon opposite sides of the-panels, the corner panels having the outer longitudinal rails projecting to overlap the end upriglits of contiguous panels, and a binder for securing the corner panels by engaging the adjacent uprights.
