The "characteristic feature of the present invention is the overcoming of the crushing or wring of the collar, and to that end comprises means for normally supporting in its close fitting position on the user while permitting the same to yield or give under depression of the chin, and more specifically said means acting automatically to stretch the collar vertically and thus continually restore the same to a fiat neat normal condition.

Another characteristic of the invention resides in the formation oi a device possessing the foregoing feature of yieldability, of a wire or similar skeleton formation contoured to conform to the curvature of the neclr of the user, lending to the comfort of the latter, while performing its expected supporting function with reference to the nature, as stated, crush, or become the user an fitting collar in connection with which the device,

The foregoing-and other details in the constructionand operation of parts will be apparent from the specific description hereinafter contained when read in connection with the accompanying drawings forming a part hereof and wherein the preferred embodiment of the invention is illustrated.

While we have herein disclosed what we believe to be the preferred embodiment of the inven ion it Will be apparent to persons skilled in the art that the invention is capable of embodiment in otherforms and devices thantha-t herein-presented for the purpose of imparting a full understanding of theinvention.-

We claim 1. A collar support of the character described comprising a frame adapted to be inserted in a collar, said frame comprising a top bar adapted to engage the folded upper edge of, the collar, and oppositely projecting prongs on said top bar adapted to stick into the outer folds of the collar to maintain the same in closed position.

2. A collar support of the character 'described comprising a frame adapted to be inserted in the collar having a yieldable top bar adapted to engage the folded upper edge of the collar, a lower portion'adapted to engage a collar button, andseparated fastening buttonsdisposed atopposite sides of the collar-button engaging means.

3. A collar support 'of thecharacter described comprising a frame adapted to be inserted in the collar having a yieldable top bar adapted to engage the-folded upper edge of the collar, a lower to engage a collar button, and means adjacent to the collar button engaging means for engaging the'flaps of the outer fold of the collar.

8. A collar support of the character described'comprising a frame adapted to be inserted in a collar, said frame comprising a top bar adapted to engage the folded upper edge of'the collar, separated parts on said top bar adapted to fasten the outer folds of the collar to maintain the same in closed position, and means at the lower portion of the frame adapted to engage the col.- lar button of a shirt, in combination with other means adjacent to said collar button engaging means ad to engage the free portions of, the outer folds of the collar to maintain the same in closed position.
