Description

units an feairerrr onto NICKOLAUS A. PAPADIMITRUPULUS, 93F FITEGERALD, GEQJEEIG-IA.
GGMPUUND FUEL Ho Drawing.
To 41 whom it may concern Be it known that I, NIGKOLAUS A. PAPA- niMrrnoPULUs, a subjectv of the King of Greece, residing at Fitzgerald, in the county of Ben Hill and "State of Georgia, have invented certain new and useful Improveprovide a compound fuel having hydrocarbon basewhich can'be entirely consumed without leaving any residue ashes, which will produce but little smoke, which shall be comparatively light in weight, and easily packed within a small compass in briquettes or blocks, and which will produce more heat per pound than coal or other natural fuels.
Another object of the invention is to produce a compound fuel for use with locomotive boilers or for use on steamships or for stationary boilers and furnaces which shall be comparatively light in weight, which will not produce cinclers nor ashes when burned, which will produce a high degree oLheat for a great length of time, which can be packed in a small compass and which can be produced at comparatively low cost.

- Application fih March 27, 1914. Serial No, 82?,215.
In carrying out the invention, the followproportions may be utilized:
Kerosene oil or crude hydro-car- 0 hon 16 parts.
Paraflin 5 parts.
Ordinary laundry soap u 3 parts.
Table salt, pulverized 1 part.
The paraffin, soap, and salt are dissolved 45 in. sufiic'ient hot water for mixing them thoroughly together and dissolving the paraffin. and soap, and While still hot, the kerosene oil or hydro-carbon material is added and the whole thoroughly mixed together, after which it is poured out into moids of the required size and permitted to set and. harden. The proportions of the various ingredients may be changed Without materially effecting the combustible quality of the fuel.
What is claimed is A compound fuel consisting of kerosene oil, sixteen (16) parts, paraflin, five (5) parts, table salt,'on'e (1) part, and sufficient water to make a'plastic compound to be molded into blocks.
In testimony whereof I have affixed my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
