step movement from the starting: point to a goal, with safety points and" premiums for certain. moves, one of which in the present instance, is a grand prize obtaining; the goal in one movement.

In the drawing: portion of the map 'offthe city of Washington, "District of Columbia, showing streets and avenues and certain of the publicbuildings and parks being indicated, as many being indicated as will suffice for the purpose of thisinvention. Fig. 2 represents the device folded for transportation.

In view of the fact that the drawing shows a portion of such map, the usual indications will not be employed but the game described without any preliminary statement of the details of the figures, as they will duly appear in describing the game.

For the purpose of indicating the moves of each player, theremay be used onekind oi an indicator, such as a tee totum, marked by the numeral 1. This may have any num ber of pointers 2, to be numbered'in sequence. On some place onv the board this indicator is to be located and some location is assigned as that to which a pointer must point to show what moves, if any, are to be made. For instance, if the indicator is lo cated on Lafayette Square, the corner of Pennsylvania avenue and 15thstreet may be assigned as the location toward which the pointer must point to show what move is to be made, and as many moves may be made as the number ,on the pointer indicates. Should there not be any pointer pointing to this location the move is lost. I

The pointer device may be used for games of different designation and rules.

In the present instance the game is designated The Race to the White House. Names of several Presidential candidates, which may be the names of men already suggestedasPresidential candidates, or already nominated, may be placed upon playing cards; or the playing cards may be so Figure 1 represents a designated without "names .being o placed upoirthempas by colors, or otherwise.

In this game each street crossing is a step and counts one in'the game. For instance, in starting, passing from the SUI-TUDglJOIIIt at the corner of H street and Madison avethe Union Station at Delaware avenue, the

Congressional Library, Garfield Monument or the Peace Monument, theTreasury Department, 15th street and Pennsylvania alvenue northwest, may be premium points, upon arriving at which theplayer will be given a predetermined numberof advance moves. v I y a An important feature of this game is the grand prize. There is to be placed upon the spindle of the tee totum, an angle bar 3,

the angle being such that one arm will point to the starting point and the other to the goal. This -angle bar should-be adjusted so as to be held tightly enough upon the spindle to be rotated when the tee totum is spun certain relation between the arms of the angle bar and ,the points of the indicator.

The grand prize is to be given; to the player who turns the indicator so that when it stops moving one arm of the "angle bar will point to the starting, point and the other to the goal. Andthe grand prize is the game. That is, the player Who succeeds at any play in having the angle bar point to both the starting point and the goal wins the game. Otherwise the player must move his man from point to point the number of steps indicated by the points of the indicator.

Having described my invention, what I claim is:

1. In a game apparatus, a board having thereona starting point, a goal and intermediate. stations, in combination with an indicating device for indicating at one move the goal and the winning of the game.

2. In a game apparatus, a board having thereon a starting point, a goal and intermediate stations, in combinationwith an indicating device consisting of two parts.

one for indicating the stations and the other for indicating, at one move, the goal.

3. In a game apparatus, a board having thereon a starting point, a goal and intermediate stations, in combination with a movable indicator having a device attached thereto, but not moving synchronously therewith, the indicator being adapted to indicate the moves of the game and the device attached to the'indicator being adapted to indicate the goal.
