IMPROVEMENT IN -HOLLOW BRICKS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the name.
I, Gaonon H. J onssox, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented an Improved llollow Tile or Brick, of which the following is a spccilication.
My invention relates to an im n'orcmentin the-form I and construction of hollow g piadrilatcral tiles or bricks, produced by dropping down the emls ot' the hollow tile or brick between the sides thereof, until the upper edges of the ends shall be an inch or two belowfthc upper edges of the sides, and lower edges of said ends shall project an equal distance below the lower edges of the sides, thus forming projecting tongues or tcnonsat each end of the tile on one side or face thereof, and counterpart recesses at eaclrcnd on the opposite side or i'ace, so that when any two. of these tiles'are laid directly one upon the other in a proper manner, the
- tongues of the one will closely fit into the counterpart recesses in the other, and thus form a lock-joint between them.
