UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
KARL SCHEUFELE, OF PFORZHEIM, GERMANY.
BRACELET WITH WATCH-HOLDER.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, KARL Sormnrnnn, a subject of the Grand Duke of Baden, residing at Pforzheim, in the Grand Duchy of Baden, German Empire, have invented cer tain new and useful Improvements in Bracelets with Watch-Holders, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a bracelet with a device for holding a watch so that, although being securely held, it can be easily removed. This watch-holder consists of tWo pairs of levers linked together so that they securely clamp in the watch.
In the accompanying drawings the invention is shown by way of example.
Figure 1 shows the holding device in a plan view. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the same.
The holding device consists of four curved levers a, b, c and cl arranged so that two pairs of levers a?) and c=cZ are formed. The inner ends of the levers ab and the inner ends of the levers c(Z are pivotally mounted in two brackets e to which the ends of the bracelet z' are fixed. Springs f located in said brackets maintain said levers in position. The levers a0 and bd are connected by means of pivot pins g. The ends of the levers are bent upward and form claws which hold the watch n.
The device operates as follows :To put the watch into the holder 7 the ends 2' of the bracelet to which the brackets ee are fixed, are moved the one toward the Specification of Letters Patent.

other whereby the claw-shaped ends of the lever pairs a-0 and b-d respectively are moved away from each other putting the pressure springs f under compression. As soon as the parts 2' of the bracelet are released the levers are made to turn around the pivots 9 through the action of the springs f whereby the watch it is securely gripped by the claw-shaped ends of said levers. Particularly if the bracelet is of the extensible type the claw-shaped lever ends are continuously pressed against the rim of the watch through the expansion of the bracelet so that the watch is always securely maintained.
I claim A bracelet with watch-holder comprising in combination with a bracelet two brackets fixed in said bracelet, four curved levers piV- otally fixed with their inner ends in said brackets and pivotally connected at about the middle of their arms which cross each other in two oppositely extending pairs, claws at the outer ends of the levers and springs located in said brackets and attached to the inner ends of said levers for pressing said levers against the rim of a watch to be held, substantially as described and illustrated.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in the presence of two witnesses.
KARL SOHEUFELE.
\Vitnesses KARL FRIEDRICH GEHRING, PAUL HEINRAM.
