In ahydrocarbon burner having discharge ports for the passage of gas, an inclosure for said burner, swingingly mounted deiiectors disposed above the dischar ports, an oscillating shaftvconnected to t e deilectorsjor swinging the same, said shaft being journaled in one of the Walls of the inclosure' with one end of the shaft projecting Wit-hout the inclosure for manual operation.
