The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
I, Exos WOODRUFF, of the city ofl Elizabeth, in the county of' Union and State of New Jersey, have made certain Improvements in Earth-Commodes, of which the following is a specification.
.The nature of my improvementl consists in thc means and manner of throwing the earth from the reservoir upon the feces.
In the accompanying drawing-- Figure 1 shows the commode with the seat removed, und the distributer in position at the bottom of the receiver or hopper of dry earth.
Figure 2 is the distributor.
The bottomV of the hopper a, projecting down into thc inside of the commode, formed on an incline, has an opening in the front.
