To all whom it may concern: I Be it lmown that I, PAUL GEHRMANN, a subject of the King of Saxony, residing at Dresden, Kingdom of Saxony, German Empire, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Carburetors, of which the following is a specification.-

The fuel reservoir b is closed at thetop by a lidd upon which a flat ringe is arranged which has a great number of airholes f. I claim: Carbureter for motor cars comprising in combination with-gthe main air c'onduit,'the spraying nozzle, and the mixing chamber having air inlets 'for'the supplementary air,
a horizontal ring having a certainv number of perforations revolubly mounted upon said mixing chamber under said air inlets,
ball valves upon the upper ends of said perforations, vertical extensionsof said ring one for each air inlet of the mixing chamber, a ring shaped cover screwed upon said horizontal perforated ring and bearing with its inner end against the outer wall'of said mixing chamber above said air inlets, a cylindrical piece in the conduit'for the m'ain air surrounding the upper end of said sprayingnozzle and screwed into said air conduit, a perforated horizontal flange of said cylindrical piece and-ball valves upon the upper-ends of said perforations, substantially as described and shown and for the purpose set forth.
