IMPROVEMENT IN BROOCH-FASTENINGS.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making peut of the same To all whom it may concern.-
Beit known that I, XVLLLIAAI Srufitifznwtrmx, ot' the city, county and Stato ot' New York, here invented a new and improved Fastening for Brooches; (ind I do hereby declare the following to be :L full, Clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the nrt tonmlte und use the. stime, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part ot' this speciicati on",`*in which drawing- Figure 1 represents :i reur view of' this invention.

In the buck plate of this brooch I nlnkc zr bellshaped slot, (l, the edges of which are Ilm-ing outward and upward, so that thc same will readily catch over a button, which is fastened to the shirt or dress to which the brooch is to be attached.
