In warm weather it is often so Windy button u a coat to avoid the bad appearance and disagreeahle inconvenience caused by the blow ing apart of the flaps of the coat.
One object of this invention is to provide novel and improved means on the inner side of the coat which when the coat is unhuttoned and opened to avoid discomfort in warm weather is adapted to span the flaps of the coat and prevent the flaps of the coat from being blown apart by the wind.
Further objects of the invention are to provide novel andimproved means of the nature specified which is simple in character, inexpensive, neat in appearance, and convenient and efiective in use.
Other objects and the advantages of the invention will be apparent to those skilled in the art from a consideration of the following description of the preferred form of the means embodying it, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings in wh ich Figure 1 is a front view of a coat having the. invention applied thereto, Fig. 2 is a fragmentary view of the inner side of the coat, showing the strip spanning the'flaps; Fig. 3 is another fragmentary view of the coat, showing the strip as it IS normally on ranged on one of the fiapsyFig. 4 is an enlarged broken sectional view taken on the line 44 of Fig. 1; Fig 5 is an enlarged broken sectional view ta (en on the line 55 of- Fig. 3;and Fig. 6 is an enlarged view of the strip.
