Be it known that I,`CH`ARLs GRE- nmmja citizenof theUnited States, reside., `ing at Newton, in the county "of Jasper and State of Iowa, have invented a new and useful Gearing Device for Wringcrs, of` which 'the following is a specication.y My invention relates to that class of washing machines inl which both the machineand wringer areopera'ted by power.
The object of my invention is to .providev la gearing device for wringers, of the class mentioned, whereby the wringer may be detachablymounted on a machine yin -posif tion for wringing clothes' into orout ofthetub,` and whereby the wringer may, at the "-'option'of the operator, be detachably mount-v ed on the machine v in such position' that clotheszmay be wrung from one receptacle .to another, the second position of the Wringer being' such that itstands away fromthe tub, it being my purpose to'provid'e suchan attachment whereby the wringer may be in gear in eitherposition of its movement.

A great many variations may be made in the details of construction of my device withoutp'departing from its essential fea. ft-ures.
The advantages of my improved attachment are numerous. It provides means for mount-ing `a-1shaft and also meanswherebyvbe used for wringing or for wringing clothes In either of its positions, the wringer is in gear-with the shaft inthe bearing formed on the attachmentand may be operated by the power which runsthe machine. A special advantage s found in the complete detachability The wringer may` be removed from the machine without the use of ,tools and without the removalof screws, v'Ibolts or pins..
There are no small detachable parts to be lost when the wringer is removed. The wringer may transportation and ing the washing machinearegreatly -reduced.
