Be it known that we, EMIL SCHoNEMANN and JULIUS Rlinonnn, both subjects of the Grand Duke of Baden, residing at Pforzheim, in the'Grand Duchy of Baden, Grerinan Empire, have invented certain new and useful -lmprovements in Locks for Neck- Chains, Bracelets, and the like, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a lock for neck chains, bracelets, and the like the construction of which is improved loy a cross bar fixed. across the open end of the sleeve de-- signed to prevent accidental unfastening oi the lock.
In the accompanying drawings the invention is shown by way of example.

The lockii'ig hook c, fastened to the other end of the chain, has' in-' dentations c in the outer surface of its two arms adapted to engage with the inwardly turned flange of the open end of the sleeve (1. Across the open end of the sleeve (2 a U-shaped cross bar I) is fixed, which serves for preventing the accidental opening of the fastening device as it retains the hook 0 even it the Same should get out of the sleeve a- Having thus described our invention what we claim is An improved lock for neck chains, bracelets and the like, comprising in combination a sleeve open at one end, an inwardly turned flange at this open end of said sleeve, a U- shaped cross bar fixed upon the open end of said sleeve, an elastic hook having indentations in the outer surfaces of its arins'hooked upon said'cross bar and adapted to be inserted in said open sleeve, substantially as described and shown and for the purpose set forth. v
