'this invention rclzitca; to lmnp structures [or Whittle hinips and Consists in tho torniassoeintion, and arrangement of parts hereinafter more Vfully set forth and pointed ont. in the claims,
The ohjent ot the in\':ntion is to construct un oil hnnp for vehicles of a pleuging der which hears no resemblance to the old lantern typo of. lamps, und wherein provision is inode for forming the shell o the lomp with :i Haring portion sind with n oriindrienl body haring two integral panels I struck from the metal of the shell, one of swirl panels :it the bottom serving ns u re- 'h, for the oil font, und the other of @fdd panels :it the top forming,r :t ventilnting 'rod tor the lmnp. The invention further to mplntes the employment of n shield in the rr: r ot the lmnp hody to prevent the enf *more of nir through tho openings therein tl. nigh which the. Supporting arms enter the lamp.
'The :dime olfriect is attained by the Strnce illustrated in the. ueoomi'mnying drawin whiohzv l is si soffiionul View through the liiml axis ot n lamp embodying niv Fig. 2 n transverse section -i high nf; on linev 2 2 of Fig. l, Fig, l View tfiroiigl'i the. Shield :ind

Y
Having thus fully set fo'rth my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is r* l. A lamp casing, comprising a cylindrical shell provided with a flaring front portion, and having formed in the Wall thereof' at the top and bottom integral panels to afford respectively an oil font receptacle and a hood for the body of the lamp, and a shield closing the rear end'of the lamp body and carpyingr a tube atjits upper end which communicates with said hood.
2. A lamp casing, comprising a shell having a rounded rear end forming a chamber, sald rounded rear end of the lamp having an aperture to receive a supporting standard, and :1 shield within the lamp body closing the inner end of said chamber.
In testimony whereof, I sign this specification in the presence of two Witnesses.
