Be it known that, MICHAEL BLUME, a eitizenof the United States, and a resident of the city or" Caio-ago, county of Cook, and State oi illinois, invented cert-ain new and useful improvements in Micrometen Apers, of which the following is a 'specilviy inventionlrelates 'to improvements in calipers and more speciically tothat class thereof eliaracterized because of the adaptability thereof for mieroinetrio adjustment.

The invention consists in the combina.- tions and arrange ents of parte hereinafter described claimed.

Secured rigidly upon one end of the stock or upon the outer endof the member l is the fixed jaw E which is of ordinary design. Surrounding the outer end portion of the member 2 is a sleeve Li' which is tightly fitted thereon, the saine being held in posi friction.
