Speciiication of iettersVP-atent. i Patented June 3, 1913.
Application filed February 1, 1913. Serial No. 745,683.
' l/'o QN whom if may concern.'
.lie it known that I, EDWIN O.,BLANo1-IARD, a citizen of the United States, residingat Randolph, in the county of Orange and' State of Vermont, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Sanitary tihavinghips, of which the following is a specicatitm, reference being had to the acf, conipanying drawings.
This invention relates to new and usefu improvements in shaving mugs'and more particularly to a sanitary mug and my. object is to provide a device of this charaoter which will be highly sanitary and hygienic in every respect.
A further object' of the invention reside in providing a cup or mug in which the soap for forming a lather forms a -part and parcel thereof and a still further object resides in providing a cup formed preferably of paper, the bottom and walls of which are lined or coated with a layer of soap.
A still further object of the invention resides in providing a device which is simple'f..
in construction, inexpensive to manufacture' and one which will be Very efficient and useful in operation.
With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter referred to and more particularly pointed out in the specification and claim.
In the accompanying drawings forming a part of this application, vFigure 1 is a perspective view of one vof my sanitary shaving mugs; and Fig. 2 is a vertical section therethrough. .A
In describing my invention, I- shall refer to the drawing in which similar reference characters designate corresponding parts throughout the severalv views and in which l indicates a cup or mug formed preferably of parain paper, such as is 'used lin the manufacture of the well known 'sanitary cup, the same being of any desired shape lather may be quickly and readily formed l and after o-ne has finished shaving, the cup may be thrown away entirely or, if desired, may be saved fo-r another use. As it is the object of the invention to provide a cup which is sanitary in every respect, this idea, ofcourse, can only be carried out by disposing ofthe cup after xhaving once used the same. n
From the foregoing it will be seen that l have provided a simple, inexpensive and efficient means for carrying out the object 4of the invention and while I have particularly described the elements best adapted to perform the functions set forth, it is obvious that various changes in form, pro-v portion and in the minor details of construction may be resorted tov without dey parting from the spirit or sacriiicing any o f the principles 'of the invention as set forth in the' appended claim.
Having thus described this invention, what I claim is A sanitary device ofthe class described comprising a receptacle, the inner face ofI the walls and bottom thereof being coated with a thin layer of soap.
In testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature in the presence 'of two witnesses.
