Referring to Figs. 1 to S and more particularly to Fig. 1, the switch 15 is shown housed in a porcelain or other suitable casing 16 received in a rec-ess in a wall or other supporting` structure. To the upper and lowerends of the casing,Y `16 are secured perforated ears 17 by which the casing may be screwed to the walls. In each end of the casing 16 is secured by means ot screws lor other suitable fastenings a pair of con tact strips 19` having 'at their outer ends binding screws. 2O for securing thereto the terminals of the wires forming the connecor other articles. The switch 15 comprises a porcelain base 21 having secured thereon at the tour corners of its' inner l'acecontact plates 22 adapted when theswitch is in place to firmly Contact the Contact strips 19 and forno good electrical connection with the same.
