The coin being in the position shown is directly underneath the projection upon the bar 19. en the operating lever is depressed, the projection 21 coming in contact with the coin will cause the same to be depressed and the coin crowding against the lever 22 will cause the same to tilt upon its pivot which in turn will cause the rod which is fastened to 'As a coin' said lever 22 to bear against the edge 45 of a the slot in the link and throw the same laterallv to the position shown in dotted lines in Fig. 2 of'the drawings, which will cause the shoulder 35 to contact with the lug upon the short arm of the lever 8 and a further depression of the operating lever will cause the angle lever to rock and move the slide forward, the latter-pushing the lowermost of the envelops through the opening in the receptacle containing the same where a person may take hold of the envelo and pull the same out from the reoeptac e. As the envelo is pushed through the opening, one edge t ereof will contact with the spring 42 and cause the angled wire fastened thereto to draw back into the exit end of the slot and prevent a second coin from rolling into an operative position underneath the projection upon the bar 19 until after the article has been delivered, after which the spring 42 and the angled wire will return to their forming a stop therefor,
normal positions and allow the coin to roll down against the lever 22 in operative position to allow the apparatus to deliver a second envelo upon a repetition of the operation descri ed. In the event of a coin bein inserted in the apparatus and the operatmg lever depressed only a short distance, not sufficient to cause the coin to pass through the slot in the shelf and in which event the operator would release pressure from the operating handle, the shoulder upon the outer edge of the link would come in contact' with the projection upon the frame and prevent the operating lever returning to its normal position and also the slide, thereby preventing the delivery of a second article by the employment of a single com.
What I claim to be new is 1. A coin-controlled vending apparatus comprising a frame, a table for containing the articles to be delivered, a coin chute, a pivotal lever in the path of the coin and forming a stop therefor, a pivotal bar mounted upon the frame and adapted to contact with the coin to cause the latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, connections between the same and said member, a link pivoted to the op erating lever and actuated by said rod to cause the link to be thrown into operative position to cause the shaft to rock as the operating lever is depressed, as set forth.
2. A coin-controlled vending apparatus comprising a frame, a table for containing the articles to be delivered, a coin, chute, a pivotal lever 'in the path of the coin and forming a stop therefor, a pivotal bar mounted upon the frame and, adapted to contact with the coin to cause the latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever pivoted to said bar, an article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, connections between the same and said memben'a link pivoted to the operating lever and actuated by said rod to cause the link to be thrown into operative position to cause the shaft to rock as the operating lever is depressed, and mechanism for preventing aseoond coin from coming into operative position until an article has been delivered, as set forth.

A- coin-controlled vending apparatus comprising a frame, a table for containing the articles to be delivered, a coin chute, a pivotal lever in the path of the coin and a pivotal bar mounted upon the frame and adapted to coiitact with the coin to cause the latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever pivoted to said bar, an article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, connections between the-sameand pivoted to said bar, an

A coin-controlled vending apparatus comprising a frame, a table for containin the articles to bedelivered, a coin chute, a pivotal lever in the path of the coin and forming a stop therefor, a pivotal bar mounted upon the frame and adapted to contact with the coin to cause the. latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever pivoted to said bar, an article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, an angle lever fixed to said shaft and having pivotal connection with the delivery member, a lug upon one arm of said angle lever, a link pivoted to the operating lever and having an elongated slot through which said rod extends, one

A coin-controlled vending apparatus comprising a frame, a table for containing the arti les to be delivered, a coin chute, a pivotal lever in the path of the coin and forming a [stop therefor, a pivotal bar mounted. upon the frame and adapted to contact with the coin, to cause the latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever pivoted to said bar, an. article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, an angle lever fixed to said shaft and having pivotal connection with the delivervmember, a lug upon one arm of said angle lever, a link pivoted to the opcrating lever and having any elongated slot with an ofiset therein and two diagonally disposed shouldersformed in the opposite edges of the slot, one of said shoulders being 7 adapted as the link is tilted by said rodvto contact with said lug to cause the shaft to rock as the operating lever is depressed, the other shoulder adapted to contact with said lug to rock the shaft in the opposite direction, returning the article delivery member to its normal position, as set forth.

Acoin-icontrolled apparatus comprising a frame. a table for containing the articles to be delivered, a coin chute, a pivotal lever in the path of the coin and forming a stop therefor, a pivotal bar mounted upon the frame and adapted to contact with the coin to cause the latter to tilt said lever, a rod projecting from said lever, an operating lever pivoted to said bar, an article delivery member upon said table, a rock shaft, an angle lever fixed tosaid shaftand having pivotal connection with the delivery member, a In upon one arm of said angle lever, a link p1voted to the operating lever and having an elongated slot formed in the opposite edges of the slot, one of said shoulders being adapted as the link is tilted by said rod to contact with said lug to cause the shaft to rock as the operating lever is depressed, the other shoulder adapted to contact with said lug to rock the shaft in the opposite direction, returning the article without first being depressed to its lowest? limit, asset forth. 4
