. IMPROVEMENT IN HING'ES FOR BLINDS.

My invention, consists, simply, in ,theV arrangement and combination of a right angle latch-lever,so secured, to lone of theleaves ofthe hinge,as to fasten "the blind open, and, by the lifting ot' the latch, the lever end will partially close the blind.

The hingesiare made of cast-iron, the-two leaves l A beiugof. any'flesi'red size or shape, and' are secured to the windoW-casng,`and theblindby wood screws, in the usual manner.` On the half, or the part that is to be secured to therwindow-casing,there is a projectinglleai', B, in which is cast .a vertical groove,

A modification of my improvement, whereby the same result can be produced, would be to hang the blinds or shut-ters on plain shutter-hingesor butts, and havethe projecting leaf B, in which the' latch C and lever D are secured, castvseparately, and tted to the casing of the window, and'secured in such a relative position to the hinge that the latch C will catchv `over the top edge of the leaf-A and hold the blind open and help to closeit,il'1 the same manner as above described. l

That I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is+
