To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we; Prm'nn JOSEPH CnoLLA and PETER JOSEPH. SoHMITz, subjects of the Queen of the Netherlands, and residents of Volkenburg, Netherlands, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Wrenches, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a wrench, with improved means for allowing a ratchetlike use of the same, the tapered ends of a handle for the wrench, manner around a nut.
The accompanying drawing shows improved arrangement.
Figure 1 is a plan View of the same in its use for tightening the nut, and Fig, 2 a similar view, showing the action of the wrench when turned in opposite direction.
The ends of a metal rod a, which serves as handle for the wrench are fiat and so wrought that they become thinner and thinner toward their sharp-ended extremity, the same being then placed in spiral windings 6 around a nut 0. Upon turning the wrench in the direction for. tightening the nut, the
