` Specification of Letters Iatent.

Be it known that I, PHILIP Liis'iRADii, citizen of the United States, residing at New Orleans, in the parish of'Orleans and State of Louisiana, have invented newand useful Improvements in Thill-Tugs, o-f which the following is a specification.

. My present invention pertains to thilll tugs such as are equipped with anti-frict-ion devices for working yagainst the underside and the vertical sides of a thill or shaft; and it consists in they peculiar and advantageous thill tug hereinafter described in detail and definitely claimed.

The tug body comprises two sections 1 of suitable metal, andthe said sections are connectedl together by rivets 2fand also by the pivot pin 3 of the buckle body 1, and the pivot pin 5 of the loop 6. In the edges vof the said body sections 1 are rabbets which when the sections are connected Las stated forma groove 7 that extends entirely around the body. It will also be observed that ren cesses 8 are formedin the opposed sides of the sections 1 at one end of thel device to receive and permit play ofthe buckle tongue `9, and that the-opposed sides of the sections y1 are recessednas indicated by 10 and 11 for the reception of the anti-friction balls 12and the ball trunnions 13, respectively,

whereby the balls or, more strictly speaking, rollers are enabled to turn backward l other.
