I

This invent-ion relatesl to kitchen sinks and similar fixtures andit'has for its object to provide an outlet connection for the same-which shallbe simple in construction,

easily applied and eiiicient in operation, and by the use of rwhich wipe joints shall' be avoided.

A further object ofthe invention is to provide a simple and efficient outlet connection embodying in its construction a strainer cup having a seat upon which `a strainer may be removably supported. n

A still further object of the invention is to provide an outlet connection which may y be Vapplied and effectively tightenedv withyout the use of screw threaded connections.

Further objects of theinvention are to simplify and vimprove the generalconstruci tion and operation of this class ofdevices.

From the foregoing Vdescription taken 7T may be provided adjacent-5to its upper edgeV Connection with the drawings hereto anneXed the operation and advantages of this invention will be readily understood by those skilled in the art to which it appertains. The Qonstructon is simple and iny expensive, and the device may be very readily applied to flat bottomed sinks and similar structures. The strainer plate may be readily removed thus affording access to the strainer cup whenever desired. The iniproved outlet connection allo-ws for variation in length, and it may be readily installed without necessitating the cutting of pipes. Disconnection of the parts may be easily effected whenever desired in order to afford access to the trap.

Having thus described the invention, what is claimed is- Y The combination with a sink of the flatexpanded at its upper end to form an annur larly flanged cup the flange of which engages the shallow seat upon the bottom of the sink and is flush with said bottom, connecting bolts extending through the flange of the cup and through the recessed portion of the sink bottom constituting a seat, and a strainer detachably supported upon and within the cup.
