V With the above object in view, and others which will be more apparent as the nature of the invention progresses, the improvement resides in the novel construction and arrangement of parts hereinafter fully described and claimed. Y
In the drawings, accompanying this specification, Figure 1 is a side elevation of my improvement showing the same in an applied position upon anoil can. Fig. 2 is a central longitudinal sectional view of the same.
In the drawings, the numeral 1 designates an ordinary oil can. These cans, as is well known, are provided with 'a ieXible bottom and have their top formed with a ,projecting threaded cover which is generally integrally constructed with the can.
The threaded collar' designated by the numeral 2 of the oil can is in the present instance adapted to receive the threaded end 3 of a spout 4 comprising parts of the improvement. The spout 4, directly above the 'threaded end 3, is formedr with an `annular ends inturned and eX- and the said inturned portion is adapted to receive a suitable washer 6, constructed of'leather, rubber or other suitable compressible material, and which is adapted to tightly close 'the joint between the Vspout'and the collar 2 of the can 1.
The spout 4, disposed from its connection with the flange 5 and secured to the free eX- tremity of the said flange, is a substantially rectangular trough 7. This trough projects a suitable distance beyond each of the opposite faces of the flange, and the said trough flange 5 which has its tended downwardly,
