Another object of the invention is the f provision'of a handle which is so construct- `a() ed as to be attachable to and detachable .from any of the ordinary cross-cut saws `without requiring the employment of tools. Mounted for swinging movement upon the bolt 19 rearwardly of the cheek or eX- tension 18 is a catch 21 the same being connected lto the bolt 19 'by means of apivot 22. This catch -21 is adapted to lie on one side of the saw blade 11 while the cheek the same, the catch 21 being provided with.
