To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, CHARLES F. Waar, of Rochester, in the countyV of Monroe and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Faucets; and I do hereby declare the followingto be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accom.- panying drawingv forming a part of this specification, and to the reference-numerals marked'thereon.

My present invention :relates to faucets, particularly those adapted for use in connection with tanks or receptacles containing liquids, of which it is desirable to prevent the unauthorized removal', by keeping said faucets locked when they are closed.

To this end my invention has for its obconstruction and arrangement of the p'arts described in the following specification, the novel feiii 'es thereof being pointed out in the claim a pended to this specification.

The body 1 is hollow and contains the valve seat with'. which coperates the valve head o r plug, the upper projecting end of which, indicated .by 3, is flattened on its opposite sides, as shown particularly at Fig. 3. The forward edge of this flattened portion is cut away, or rounded as indicated by 4, and at its4 rear side it is substantially square as indicated at 5, to provide a locking shoulder which coperates with the handle to maintain the, latter in the horizontal position, as shown "in Fig. 2.
