Be it known that I, LVAH D. HADSEL, States, and a resident ot Philadelphia, in the county of l?hila delphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a. new and useful Improvement in Slack-Cable Excavators, ot lwhich the tol lowing is a specification.
This invention relates to distant power excavators of that-type in which the scoop or ':onreyer l is movable along or upon a cable Way, composed of one or more cables, the cable may being 'so arranged as to be adapted to be slacltened to permit the scoop to engage the earth Jfor digging and filling, and to be tightened to cause the conveyer tobe operated tree from the earth during transportation in either direction.

The conyeyer is illustrated as comprising a carriage 20 having Wheels 2l rolling upon theA cable way 12 and a scoop 22 pivotally connected by links '23 to the rear end ot the carriage.
