When the tirst'arm K ceases to operate, the pin-fm on the .side ofthe wheel E bears down on the rear end of the lever e,- Said lever being` held by the .trigger f, which causes the weighted'lever or arm H to be drawn back again through` the medium of the inter'- mediate bars P O, rod N, lever L, and bar M, until the arm K is ready to catch n the second projection of the wheel E, when the'trigger f strikes the pin h, which releases the level' c from the pin an, allowing the weighted arm H to operate on its arm K anll wheel E, as above described. The lever c instantly, by its own weight, falls back again in the shoe ll, under the trigger f. All 'of the groups performing in succession the same movements, a continuons rotary motion is contributed to the shaft or 'axle B, so that, by connecting said axle in any manner with any kind of machinery, the said machinery may be oper- 4ated.` The power may be increased at will in two ways, either by increasing the weights in the boxes 'I 1, or, ifthat is not sufficient, by increasing the nums and groups on the main shaft.

It will be understood that avery small power is necessary to operate the machine, as, when thus in operation, the different groups of levers, arms, 85e.,
its own wheel, andthe rotary motion of the axle is not only continued, but increased to any degree desired.

3. In combination with the subject matter of first and second clauses, the wheel E, providedl with projections c c, and pins m m, all substantially as and for the purposes-herein set forth.
4. The combination of a series of wheels on a common axle, with a series of groups consisting of levers, bars, arms, &c., when all are constructed, arranged, and combined, as shown and described, for the purpose of increasing the rotary motion contributed to said axle, substantially as herein setforth.
