Be it known that I, LOUIS Vii "Nnin', a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of Waterlom Blackhawk county, Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Devices for Turning Crank-Pins on Engine-Shafts, of which the following is 'a specification.
My invention relates to improvements in *devices for turning crank-pins on engineshafts, and the objectof my improvement is to provide means capable of use on an ordinary engine-lathe which will receive engine cranks of diilei'ing dimensions, and which may he used to turn the crank-pins thereof quickly, truly and with the proper finish and design. The upriglit 28 has on its inner face a cutter-tool 26 seem-ed thereon adjustably by means of adjustin'g screws 30 and 31. The other upright 29 has a, outter-tool 27 secured on its inner fece adjustably by means of an adjustingscrew 32. Spindle-arms 37 may be used to adjust the position of said ports transversel oh the lathe-bed. When the tool 26 is use ifgives a rough-cut to the crank-pin 24;, and this operation succeeded by the use oi the cut-ting'tool 27 Which finishes the crank-pin tothe smooth desired form,
The said device accurately performs the ,i'equii'ed duty in a minimum time, and perfects the crank-pins with a great saving of labor.

1.1m combination, a face-plate, end supporting body, body having plurality of eocentrioelly-located seats of differing sizes 'for holding the journal-ends oi. crai ilo she-fits of different dimensions ifletachably secured between said face-plate and said end-supporting body, said seats being located at appropriate distances from the axis of sziid body, clamping-means on said body adopted to adjustnbly secure a crank-pin in axial elineinent with said body, and cuttingmeans movable into cutting engagement with s crumb-pin so held by said clampiugoneans and adapted to trim it into a desired form.
