To all whom it may concern: i

Be it known that IfANGUS K. MAODON- ALD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Portland, in the county of Cumberland and State of Maine, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Portable Bottle Washers and Holders, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to improvements in and holding the bottles, Whether full or empty. It 1s also convenient to have a device by means of which the contents of the bottle can be conveniently warmed when desired. All these results are secured by my improved device.

In the drawing herewith accompanying and making a part of this application, Figure 1 is a side elevation of my improved device showing means of connecting it with the faucet and a plurality of bottle washing nozzles and supports; Fig. 2 is a plan view, some of the holders being removed and Fig. 3 is a detail of the blank from which the holder is formed.

In said drawing A is a pipe provided with a coupling B by which it is connected to a water supply faucet O. Leading out of pipe A or an enlarged chamber D therein are pipes E terminating in upwardly projecting nozzles F. Slidably mounted on pipe A is a collar G to which are secured bottle holders H. The collar carrying the bottle holders may be adjustable vertically upon said pipe and held in any given position by a set screw I. The bottle holder H may terminate in a looped end J and may be of spring material, so that it can be removed and placed in position by compressing the loop and inserting it in or withdrawing it from the holding staple K. The holder can be made of a thin band of spring material and may be adjustable to bottles of different sizes by means of a series of Specification of Letters Patent. For this purpose, the delivery end of each nozzle is provided with a cap 0 adapted to close the delivery end of the nozzle. The device is provided with legs S by means of which it can be supported in upright position with the bottles supported thereon when detached from the water supply.

The operation of my improved device is as follows: The bottles to be washed are placed bottom up through the holder and upon the nozzle. Any nozzles not in use are closed by means of the caps. The bottle washer is taken to the faucet and by means of the coupling coupled thereto and the water turned on. As soon as the bottles are Washed the device is uncoupled and the bottles left to drain. As soon as the bottles are ready they are filled with the food, and placed right side up in the holder, the bottom of the bottle resting on the top of the nozzle. The bottles containing the food supported in the holders can be conveniently heated by means of a spirit lamp placed thereunder.

The advantages of my improved bottle washer are that it can be readily connected and disconnected with the ordinary household faucet. It can be used to support the bottles right side up or bottom side up as desired. It can be used to wash one or a series of bottles at the same time. It can be used to hold the bottles when not in use. It can be used to support the bottles while being heated.

Having thus described my invention and its use, I claim:

1. In a portable combined bottle washer and holder, a main pipe provided at its upper end with means for coupling it to a water faucet and at points spaced apart below the coupling with branch pipes terminating in upwardly extending nozzles, and means permanently secured to the device for supporting said device in upright position on a flat surface when uncoupled.

2.
