Be it lmown that L'Roannr M.'M1LLAR, a subject of the King of Great Britain, now residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Lamp- Su-pporting Devices, of which the-followin is a specification. a

My invention relates to a lamp-supporting device adapted to be attached to a socket for holding incandescentlamps; one of the objects of the device being to afford a-cheap and convenient holder capable of being easily'attached to almost any desired object' To these ends the invention consists m a coiled, resilient spring. member provided with a lamp-engaging portion,'whereby'the device may be used as a. stand when resting upon its lower coil or secured to an object by separating the coils suflicientlyto engage a portion of said object; the "resilient characmaterial engaging said object with suflicient frictional force to securely'hold the lamp,
