1. In an eyeglass mounting, tion with'an arched bridging portion and a lens attaching portion separate therefrom, of a separable fastener connecting theparts together and a nose guard pivotally mounted on the lens attaching portion, independ- Y ently of such connection, at a. point in the plane .ofthe lens between the arch of the bridging portion and the lens comprising a i lever movable relatively to both parts and having a finger piece at its forward end and a'nose engaging portion at its rear end.

Inan eyeglass mounting, the combina- I tion with a lens attaching portion provided with av box and an archedbridging portion having its end cooperating with the box, of a separable fastener connecting the bridge end and the box and a nose guard pivotally mounted on the lens attaching portion, independently of such connection, at a oint in the 'lane of the lens between the arc of the bri ging portion and the lens comprising a lever movable relatively to both parte and having a finger piece at its forward endend a nose engaging portion at its rear end.

3. ' 7 .In an eyeglassl mounting, the combination with a lens attaching portion and a bridging -'portion separate therefrom, of a fastener connecting. said parts together and extending horizontally into the lens attaching-portion in the plane of the lenses, a vertically extending post on the lens attaching portion, a headed fastener secured in the extend' longitudinally through the same transversely of and in the same plane with the first mentioned fastener but terminating short of thelatter and a nose guard turning on the post at a point intermediate the head of the fastener and the lens attaching portion.
