Further objects of this invention will appear as the following speeilie description is read in connection with the accompanying drawing, which forms a part of this application, and in which the ligure is a perspective view of the device.
In the specific embodiment of the invention as illust-rated herein, a single strand of wire 1 having its terminals connected in a handle C is bent into the required form. Each end of the strand is bent laterally and then at right angles to the lateral bend inwardly toward the handle so as to form retaining members 2. These retaining portions are connected with line supporting portions 3 which are connected to similar retaining` portions 4 and 5, the latter through Specification of Letters Patent.

an inwardly extending loop A and the former through a double loop B. The loop A is adapted to receive the knotted end of the cord so as to hold the same While it is being wound up upon the portions 3. The inwardly projecting portion of the double loop B is adapted to receive a loop in the clothes line or other' cord being wound upon the device so as to prevent the cord from unwinding therefrom. A loop or half hitch may be taken around this inwardly projecting portion of the loop B or the cord may be entered in between the legs of the same.
lVhat I claim as new is A clothes line reel constructed of a single strand of wire, the ends of which are bent back upon themselves to produce retaining members and then bent at right angles to the bent back part to produce parallel winding portions, Vsaid strand having the ends bent back at right angles and then back upon themselves to produce other retaining members, a handle member securing the terminals of strand together, an inwardly extending loop formed in one of the winding portions and having a relatively wide mouth, andV an outwardly extending loop formed'in the opposite winding portion and having a restricted entrance.
