This invention relates to a folding top f0 automobiles and other vehicles and more particularly to novel and efficient means for sustaining the hood between the outrigger bow and the rear bow in such a manner as not to subject the same to any objectionable strain. v

A folding top for vehicles comprising a rear bow, a bipartite outrigger bow pivoted thereto, an auxiliary bow pivoted to the rear. member of the outrigger bow, a first strut. pivoted to the auxiliary how and to th'e'rear bow, and a second-strut pivotedtothe auxiliary bow and to the front member of the outrigger bow, whereby said struts and auxiliary bow jointly form bracing means for said front member.
